Disappointed.. very disappointed.. try my level best to persuade him already.. but he still refuse to listen..
This is a message to all current Boys Brigade members..
I do not know the reason you have been absent for BB meetings.. either band practice or actual meeting
I do n not know what pull you from BB.. computer? TV? football?
I realized the company attendance has dropped.. the whites more than the blues..
what happen to the form 2, 3 and 4?
Have you forget that you are a 1st KL BB member?
Have you forget the fun and joy you gained in BB?
Have you forget the pain and ache we all get during band camp?
Have you forget the advices we thought you during boots camp?
Have you forget burns, punishments, training you get during band drill?
Have you remember how we practice together? during sports day, during PESTA, during band function, the again and again of practices we did..
That time did we give up? NO.. we continued to practice, we perfect it..
Did you forget all these?
Or Have you forget the clapping, cheers, response we get from the crowd, officers, band major when we went to any band function or competition?
Have you forget all the fun and laughter we get together..
Have you forget the time we did drill together?
Have you forget the time we played football, basketball, captain ball together?
all these questions are not for you to glance through
try to refresh back.. please..
Maybe you can just say "BB now is boring"
But how you look at it?
you look at only few programmes that you dislike?
or you look at the computer games that await you to level up?
YOU are just looking at a MINOR parts of our programme..
Im so angry when I call him back to BB..
he promised me thousand times he will go..
but morning he did not turn up..
Is this honesty? where is your values, that we always teach you..
you find many a reason to avoid BB..
tuition, studies for school exam, busy, lazy..
Where is the spirit that 1st KL is famous for?
Is this the NCOs faults?
or officers?
Did you forget all your brothers in BB?
They always waiting for you to go back..

As leaders we can only do so much. We should do our best to convince him to keep on staying, but at the end, it is the boy's free choice whether to continue to join or not. There are some who feel that they may not be suitable with the BB programme.
This is not only confined to the BB. Other organizations also face this problem.

If you think you have already done your job as a leader and more importantly, as a friend, then let it go. Channel your energy to get in new boys to the company. One day, your friend might decide to join back. The more you try to pressure him now, the more resistance he will give.
Loke, I understand ur feeling, coz I'm doing tat recently as well... Talked to many boyz adi, so far oni two/three reli came back, unwillingly... I agree wit wat u said oso, nowadayz we face "competitions" from various parties... It's no longer St. John, or even Scouts in the skol, but they are the things like on9 games, TV, etc...
Anyway, we dun give up tat easily ok? We have been through BB for 4yrs++, we understand tat tis organisation has helped us alot... Let's continue spreading it, let's continue to fight for it ok?! =)
